Wiktor Sjemzew , engl. Viktor Zyemtsev or Viktor Zemtsev (born February 14, 1973 in Avdijiwka ) is a triathlete from Ukraine , world champion in the long distance (2005) and multiple Ironman winner.

Career

Viktor Sjemzew started his first triathlon in 1993 and has been a professional since 1995.

From 2002 to 2004 he won the Ironman Austria in Klagenfurt three times in a row on the long-distance triathlon (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). In August 2004 he also won the Duathlon at Powerman Austria .

World champion triathlon long distance 2005

In 2005 Sjemzew became ITU world champion in long-distance triathlon in Denmark and in 2013 long-distance national champion. In July 2015, he scored his tenth victory in an Ironman race in Canada.

In July 2018, the then 45-year-old finished eighth in the ITU World Championships on the long-distance triathlon in Denmark.

Private

Viktor Sjemzew has been married to triathlete Tamara Kozulina (* 1976) since April 2013 and their son was born in July 2013.
