Trenton Joel Tollakson (born August 12, 1980 ) is an American triathlete , Ironman winner (2011, 2014) and North American champion (2014). He is included in the best list of American triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Trenton Joel Tollakson started his first triathlon in July 2001. His nickname is TJ . He has been a professional triathlete since 2008.

In July 2011, he achieved his first long-distance win in Lake Placid (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

North American Champion 2014

In August 2014 he was able to win his second Ironman race at the Ironman Mont-Tremblant with a new course record and win the North American championships.

In November 2016 - as in the previous year - he finished third at the Ironman Arizona . In 2019, he won his third Ironman 70.3 race in May with the Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast .

He has been married since January 2010 and the two live in Des Moines .
