Eduardo Martín Sturla (born November 20, 1974 ) is a former triathlete from Argentina and four-time Ironman winner (2001, 2008, 2009 and 2011).

Career

Eduardo Sturla started triathlon training at the age of 15.

In 2001 he became the first Argentinian to win an Ironman in Florianópolis . In this long distance triathlon, a swimming distance of 3.86 km, a cycling stage of 180 km and a marathon of 42.195 km have to be completed.

In May 2011 he achieved his fourth Ironman victory in Brazil. In 2013 he started at the 13th edition in Florianópolis for the twelfth time and finished in 14th place.

Since 2014 he has also competed in cross triathlon at Xterra races. In 2014 he declared his time as a professional athlete over.

Sturla now works as a coach and lives with his wife in Melbourne (Australia).
