Carina Prinz (born June 19, 1985 ) is a former Austrian triathlete . She is the national champion at the Olympic distance (2006).

Career

In 2004, Carina Prinz finished seventh as the best Austrian at the European Junior Championships in Lausanne.

Carina Prinz was trained by Gerald Dygryn. In 2006 she became Austrian national champion on the Olympic distance. In 2007 she became Vice State Champion, but then she withdrew from competitive sports.

In 2012, the then 27-year-old celebrated a comeback in triathlon at the Ironman 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun and was able to qualify for a starting place at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2013 in Las Vegas.

In October 2014, she started the long-distance triathlon (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships).

She is in a relationship with the former triathlete Stefan Perg (* 1972) and lives in Vienna .
