Simone Kumhofer (born August 29, 1983 ) is an Austrian triathlete . She is state champion in triathlon middle distance (2016) and state champion in triathlon long distance (2018).

Career

Simone Kumhofer was active in show jumping until she was 20.

In 2016 she became triathlon state champion in the middle distance. In September she won the European championship in the middle distance at the Challenge Walchsee-Kaiserwinkl in the age group 30-34. She is trained by Peter Leo. In June 2017 she finished fourth at the state championships in the individual time trial and in 2018 fifth.

In September 2018 she became national champion on the long-distance triathlon in Podersdorf. For the 2019 season she was accepted into the Austrian long-distance national triathlon squad, to which she already belonged in 2017.

She starts in the OMNi-BiOTiC POWER triathlon team.
