Beatrice Weiß (born March 9, 1998 ) is an Austrian triathlete and reigning U23 national champion in the triathlon sprint distance (2018), national champion short distance (2018) and middle distance (2018).

Career

Beatrice Weiß joined the Wörthersee Swimming Club (SVWÖ) when she was five years old. Beatrice Weiß lives in Klagenfurt and studies there at the Alpen-Adria-Universität . She is trained by Sebastian Zeller.

U23 national champion triathlon sprint distance 2018

In June 2018, she was second in the overall U23 national champion on the triathlon sprint distance in the Waldviertel.

State champion triathlon short and middle distance 2018

At Ironman Austria , the 20-year-old from Carinthia will start on the Ironman distance for the first time in July 2018 (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). She came out of the water as the leader after the 3.86 km, but then had to abandon the race on the bike course. Two weeks later, on July 14th, she became Austrian national champion over the Olympic distance at the Mostiman Triathlon . On July 22, 2018, she also became the triathlon state champion in the middle distance at the Trumer Triathlon .
