Gaia Peron (born November 25, 1986 in Forlimpopoli ) is an Italian triathlete who competes for Turkey today.
Career
State Champion Aquathlon 2010
In June 2010 Gaia Peron became Italian Aquathlon State Champion and in September 2010 she was third in Hungary at the Aquathlon World Championship (2.5 km running, 1 km swimming and 2.5 km running).
In France, the strong swimmer competes in the Grand Prix de Triathlon for the TCG 79 Parthenay team . In 2012 she became Vice State Champion on the short distance triathlon in Tarzo .
In September 2013 she was third in the state championship on the short distance triathlon and she was able to repeat this result in 2014.
In January 2015, she announced that she would start for Turkey in order to get an Olympic ticket for 2016.
In September 2016 she won the Ironman 70.3 Pula in the middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running).
Private
Gaia Peron lives today with her fiancé, the triathlete Luca Facchinetti (also starts for TCG 79 Parthenay ) in Ravenna .
