Kamila Polak (* 4. December 1978 in Prague as Kamila Davidová ) is an Austrian triathlete and national champion at the Triathlon Long Distance (2015, 2017). She is ranked eighth in the best list of Austrian triathletes on the Ironman distance . ^{(As of April 2020)}

Career

Kamila Polak was born in the Czech Republic. It operated until 2004 fin swimming as a competitive sport and changed as a 26-year-old in 2005 to triathlon. Her nickname is "Milli". In April 2009 she started the Ironman distance for the first time in South Africa (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and came in 13th.

In 2010 she took a baby break.

At the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas in 2012, she finished fourth in the F30-34 age group. In 2013 she founded her company milliSPORTS eU and started for the association “Team milliSPORTS”. In the same year she took a second maternity leave.

Triathlon professional since 2014

Kamila Polak has been a professional triathlon since 2014. In September 2014, the mother of two finished fifth at the first Ironman Mallorca . In July 2015 she became Vice State Champion in the middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 88.5 km cycling and 21.1 km running) at the Trumer Triathlon.

National champion long distance triathlon 2015 and 2017

In August she became national long-distance champion in Podersdorf.

The 38-year-old finished second in the Waldviertel Eisenmann Triathlon (WEM) in August 2017 and in September she also won her second national title in the long distance by winning the Austria Triathlon. At Ironman Austria 2018 she finished 34th in July (11th in the elite).

Kamila Polak studied sports science at the University of Vienna . She lives in Vienna with her husband and two children .
