Tiszaújváros ( German Neustadt an der Tisza ) is a town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County in the north of Hungary . It is the administrative center of the Tiszaújváros small area . The city is on Hauptstrasse 35 .

Geographical location

Tiszaújváros is located 35 kilometers southeast of the Miskolc county seat on the western bank of the Tisza .

Surname

Until 1970 the city was called Tiszaszederkény, on the 100th birthday of Lenin on April 22, 1970 it was renamed Leninváros. It has had its current name since February 1, 1991.
