Pia Totschnig (born August 21, 2000 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian triathlete and duathlete .

Career

In 2013 and again in 2015 Pia Totschnig was Austrian triathlon champion and in 2014 in Feistritz also Austrian U16 cross-country champion.

In June 2016 she became Austrian Junior Triathlon Champion in Kitzbühel (500 m swimming, 12 km cycling and 3.3 km running).
In October of that year, the 16-year-old Tyrolean young athlete was the first Austrian in the 29-year history of the ÖTRV to take overall victory in the ETU European Cup triathlon among the juniors.

In June 2017, Pia Totschnig took 26th place as the second best Austrian at the European Junior Triathlon Championship in Kitzbühel (behind Therese Feuersinger , 4th place). In July she was third at the European Youth Championship on the super sprint distance in Lithuania.
At the end of the season in October 2017 in Melilla, Spain, with the Austrian team ( Therese Feuersinger , Magdalena Früh , Lukas Gstaltner , Leon Pauger and Philip Pertl ) with a total of eight podium places in ten races from April to October , she was able to achieve the junior nation ranking ahead of Hungary and France win. In 2017 she also became Austrian Vice-Champion U18 in cross-country skiing.

In June 2018 she became junior vice state champion triathlon on the sprint distance. Pia Totschnig starts in the ÖTRV national youth team . She attends the Bundesrealgymnasium in Telfs and now lives in Zirl .
