Tour de Tirol

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilder Kaiser, south side

The Tour de Tirol is a stage run over a total of approx. 75 km, which has been taking place on three consecutive days in Söll am Wilden Kaiser since 2006 .

organization

The centerpiece is the Kaisermarathon Söll, a mountain marathon that forms the second stage. This was the scene of the mountain running long distance world championship in 2009.

There is always a children's run during the Pölven Trail on Sunday. A relay competition on Friday at the Söller Zehner rounds off the range of runs.

Stages

Alpbachtaler Zehner / Söller Zehner

The Alpbachtaler Zehner is a 10 km run in the center of Reith. A slightly undulating lap of 2.5 km has to be completed four times. Children's runs take place before the actual race.

Since 2011, all three stages of the Tour de Tirol have taken place in Söll. The Söller Zehner is a 10 km run that leads through the center of Söll in three cropped laps of 3.31 km each. The children's and youth run takes place every year in front of the Söller Zehner.

Kaisermarathon Söll

The start of the Kaisermarathon is in Söll (698 m). The first half leads through the towns of Scheffau and Ellmau . After an ascent to the Hartkaiser (1555 m), it goes downhill to Hexenwasser (1140 m), which is reached after 38.6 km. The final section is a steep ascent to the summit of the Hohe Salve (1829 m).

Half marathon / Pölven Trail

The "Kaiserwinkl Half Marathon" was a half marathon in which the Walchsee was circled four times. The extremely flat half marathon ran through Söll in seven laps of 2.988 km each and took place from 2006 to 2011.

Since 2014, the “Pölven Trail” has replaced the half marathon on Sunday: On gravel paths and over 23 km with a total of 1200 m ascent, only 2 km of asphalt stretches towards Pölven and back to Söll.
