Antonella Confortola Wyatt (* 16th October 1975 in Cavalese as Antonella Confortola ) is an Italian cross-country skier and Berg runner .

Career in cross-country skiing

Her first appearance in the World Cup was in the 1993/1994 season. So far she has participated in three Winter Olympic Games: 1998 in Nagano , 2002 in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin . She starts for the CS Forestale association.

Antonella Confortola Wyatt celebrated her greatest successes in relay competitions. With the Italian relay she won the silver medal at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 , and she also won bronze with the relay at the 2005 World Cup and the 2006 Olympic Games. She celebrated her greatest individual successes by winning two Continental Cup races in the 2003/2004 season. In March 2011 she won the Engadin Skimarathon . In 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2018 she won the Gsieser Tal-Lauf over 42 km freestyle. In 2014 she won the 50 km freestyle at the König Ludwig Run .

Running

In addition to her activity in winter sports, she also successfully competes in mountain runs. In 2002 she was second at the World Mountain Running Championships and in 2003 third at the European Mountain Running Championships . In 2003 and 2004 she became Italian champion in this discipline and won the Hochfellnberg run . In 2007 and 2008 she won the Three Peaks Run . In 2010 she triumphed at the 22nd international Schlickeralm run .

Private life

Antonella Confortola lives in Ziano di Fiemme ( Fiemme Valley ). In May 2009 she married the New Zealand mountain running world champion Jonathan Wyatt (* 1972) and has since started as Antonella Confortola Wyatt .
