Stage run
The stage run is (similar to the stage race in cycling ) a form of running sport in which the route is covered in sections, the results of which are recorded individually and added and summarized as times in an overall rating.
If, on the other hand, the individual results are in the foreground (these are then usually converted into points) and the overall ranking only plays a subordinate role, one speaks of a running cup .
If one of the sections is 42.195 km or longer, it is called a stage ultra marathon , otherwise the stage run does not count as a marathon or ultra marathon .
