Germany run
A Deutschlandlauf is an ultramarathon in which Germany is crossed by one runner (solo run) or several runners (as a competition , group run and relay run ).
Under the name DL <YYYY> , Ingo Schulze has organized regular races under competition conditions since 1998 . The route runs diagonally through Germany from Rügen to Lörrach . So far, the DL has been carried out in 1998 (DL98), 2005 (DL2005), 2006 (DL2006), 2007 (DL2007), 2008 (DL2008) and 2010 (DL2010).

- 12 participants (11 men, 1 woman) reached the goal:
- Winner Wolfgang Schwerk in 130 hours 13 minutes
- Winner Martina Hausmann in 167 hours 45 minutes
The DL98 was the first privately organized stages -Ultramarathon in Germany a pioneering effort by Ingo Schulze and should be the cornerstone for the spreelauf , the TranseuropaLauf and other Germany runs.
The event took place largely without public interest, with one exception when it became known that Joey Kelly wanted to participate in a stage - which did not materialize, however.
