Simone Helfenschneider-Ofner (born October 19, 1982 in Mariahof as Simone Helfenschneider ) is a former Austrian duathlete , triathlete and five-time duathlon state champion (2011-2013).

Career

The Styrian Simone Helfenschneider-Ofner was active as an athlete in the duathlon and triathlon. She started in Klagenfurt in 2009 for the first time in a triathlon over the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and was the third-best Austrian triathlete in eleventh place.
In 2011 she became national duathlon champion on both the short and long distance and was able to successfully repeat this in 2012.

In 2013 she became national champion in the long distance duathlon for the third time in Weyer and seventh in the long distance duathlon world championship in September.

In April 2014 she became Austrian Vice State Duathlon Champion in the long distance (10 km running, 100 km cycling and 20 km running). It has not appeared internationally since 2014.

Simone Helfenschneider-Ofner lives with her husband in Mariahof.
