Margie Santimaria (born February 18, 1989 in Vigevano ) is an Italian triathlete and Italian U23 triathlon champion (2010).

Career

In Italy, Santimaria represents the Atlectica Bellinzago and Gruppi Sportivi Polizia di Stato Fiamme d'Oro associations.

In 2008 she graduated from ISIS A. Omodeo high school in Mortara , near her hometown Vigevano .

U23 state champion triathlon 2010

In France, Margie Santimaria, like her compatriot Charlotte Bonin , competed for TriClub Nantais in the Lyonnaise des Eaux club championship series in 2010 , but only competed in one race: In Beauvais (June 13, 2010), Santimaria finished 22nd, so she was the second best of her French club, which could not nominate a single French woman.

In 2010 she became the U23 national triathlon champion in August. In June 2014 she was third at the state championship on the triathlon middle distance.

On the short distance she finished third in the Kalterer See Triathlon in May 2017 . In June she became Vice State Champion in the middle distance.

At the Challenge Walchsee-Kaiserwinkl she finished third in September 2017, after she had also finished third in the European Championship in the middle distance last year.

In May 2018, the then 29-year-old finished third in the middle distance at the Challenge Salou in Spain. In September she was fifth at the ETU European Championships on the long distance triathlon as part of the Challenge Madrid .

At the Cannes International Triathlon she was fourth in the middle distance in April 2019 and second in the Challenge Riccione in May .
