Martina Dogana (born April 10, 1979 in Valdagno ) is an Italian triathlete , runner-up European triathlon long-distance champion (2006), Ironman winner (2008) and Italian middle-distance champion (2014). She is ranked second in the best list of Italian triathletes on the Ironman distance . (As of March 2019)
Career
Martina Dogana has been running triathlons since 1995 and since 2002 she has been focusing on the long distance.
Vice-European Champion Long Distance Triathlon 2006
In August 2006 she was runner-up in the European triathlon long distance and in November she was fifth at the world championships.
In 2008 she won the Ironman France in Nice and was the fastest woman in the long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and thus set a new course record.
State champion triathlon middle distance
In June 2014 Martina Dogana became Italian champion in the triathlon middle distance. In May 2015 she was fifth at the European Championships and in August she was Vice State Champion in the middle distance.
Dogana lives with her fiancé in Valdagno, in the province of Vicenza, Italy .
