Carina Zöll (born January 8, 1990 in Ober-Flörsheim as Carina Brechters ) is a former German triathlete .

Career

Carina Brechters studied at the German University for Prevention and Health Management in Saarbrücken .

In August 2007 she was third in the triathlon world championship in Hamburg in the age group of 16 to 19 year olds.

She is a member of the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr , started from 2010 to 2015 for the Stadtwerke Team Witten and since 2016 for the Poseidon Worms (Rowe Ti-Team) . Carina Brechters was awarded the “Wormser Rotaach” in 2012 for her athletic achievements.

In May 2014 she was seventh at the Aquathlon European Championship in Cologne. In October, the 24-year-old finished tenth at the ETU European Championships in her first start in the triathlon middle distance on Mallorca.

In March 2016, she came second on half the Ironman distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running) at Ironman 70.3 Taiwan, after having been in the lead for a long time.
In May she won the 30th edition of the traditional race at the Siegerland Cup in Buschhütten on the Olympic distance . It has not appeared internationally since 2016.

She has been married to Matthias Zöll since November 2017 . Carina Zöll lives in Worms . She is trained by Brett Sutton .
