Clément N'Goran (born August 7, 1969 ) is a former Ivorian tennis player .
Life
N'Goran won the African junior title Championnat d'Afrique de tennis juniors in 1987 . In 1991 he stood at the side of Daniel Marco in the final of the Challenger tournament in Lagos , where they were defeated by Ugo Colombini and Paul Wekesa . He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1995 with position 200 in singles and the following year with position 161 in doubles. He never qualified for a Grand Slam tournament.
N'Goran played 31 singles and twelve doubles games for the Ivorian Davis Cup team between 1986 and 1997 . His individual record was 23-8, of his twelve doubles games he won eight. His greatest success was the victory over Byron Black in the semi-finals of the Africa Group II qualifying group against Zimbabwe in 1988, which was lost 3-2 despite his two individual victories .
At the 1988 Summer Olympics , he competed in men's singles for the Ivory Coast. In the first round he was defeated by the British Andrew Castle . At the side of his brother Claude , he reached the second round at the 1996 Summer Olympics by beating the Chinese doubles , where they were defeated by Paul Haarhuis and Jacco Eltingh from the Netherlands .
