Clara Albrecht

Clara Albrecht (* around 1873 in Schwerin ; † February 7, 1927 in Bütow , Pomerania ) was a German theater actress .

Life

Her father was also active on the stage and was a member of the Hofbühne in Schwerin. From a very early age, she decided to become an actress. She took dramatic lessons from Carl Pander and began her actual stage work in Potsdam in 1890, where she made her debut as “Trude” in “Children of Excellence” after she had previously tried acting with a traveling company. Then she came to Magdeburg to the Residenztheater, to Chemnitz and to Halle and in 1898, after successfully completing a guest performance, she was engaged as "Cyprienne" and "Grille" for the Hofbühne in Darmstadt. She worked in the field of lively lovers, youthful salon ladies and modern sentimentalists. Her "Käthe" in " Einsame Menschen ", "Vittorino" in "Renaissance", "Rautendelein", "Isa" in "Fall Clemenceau" and "Goldene Eva" were effective achievements that were made possible by the security of the game, fine nuances and lifelike depiction found rich recognition. Little is known about her life after 1902.
