Clara Dobbertin

Clara Dobbertin (* 1988 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German theater director .

Life

Clara Dobbertin studied literature, art, media studies and French at the University of Konstanz and the Université Lumière Lyon as well as theater studies and art history at the University of Bern.

She did her first directing internships at the Stadttheater Konstanz . She assisted in the independent scene in Frankfurt at the Willy Praml Theater and was assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Zurich from 2015 to 2019 . She has shown her own directorial work since 2018 and has worked as a freelance theater director since 2019.

She is co-founder of the German-Swiss theater collective RIT A.
