Clara Klug (born June 16, 1994 in Munich ) is a German biathlete and cross-country skier .

Sporting successes

Clara Klug competed in the 2018 Winter Paralympics with her runner and trainer Martin Härtl in Pyeongchang . In biathlon, she won bronze medals over the 10-kilometer and 12.5-kilometer distance.

At the Nordic Para-Ski World Championships in Prince George, Canada in February 2019, Clara Klug was world champion in all three biathlon competitions. In cross-country she came second over the middle distance and third over the sprint distance.

Life

After attending elementary school at a center for the visually impaired, she switched to a regular high school, where she graduated from high school. In 2019 she completed her studies in computational linguistics. Martin Härtl has been her trainer since 2012. Since 2019, Klug has been the first female para-athlete to be a member of the Bavarian Police 's elite sports promotion group .
