Clara Markwordt ( December 3, 1869 in Riga - after 1929), later known as Mascha Markwordt and married as Mascha Pinkuss , was a German theater actress .

Life

Markwordt, the daughter of the actor August Markwordt , began her theater career, against her father's wishes, at the Wallnertheater in Berlin. Then she went to the Lessing Theater and then to the Zurich City Theater. Then she returned to Berlin, to the Residenztheater.

Her most popular roles included "Mademoiselle Sirene" in the Dragoons , "Clementine" in model spouses , "Fanny" in Our Women , "Antonie" in Metropolitan Air , "Sarah Bartholdy" in Orientreise , "Cyprienne" and "Fräulein Frau" etc.

During her many years in Berlin she was particularly successful in the field of salon ladies . In 1899 she moved to Vienna.

She later married the councilor of commerce Albert Pinkus (probably the banker with whom she traveled to Bad Ischl in 1902 ) and they moved to house No. 126 in Reichenau an der Rax , next to the imperial villa . After her husband's death, she sold the house to the imperial property administration in 1918.

In 1928 and 1929 she took spa stays in Karlsbad . Her further life is unknown.
