Clare Maguire (born September 15, 1987 in Solihull , Birmingham ) is a British singer-songwriter .

biography

At 17, Clare Maguire dropped out of school and intensely pursued her dream of a music career. She put her music online via MySpace and Last FM and soon made contact with international labels. Polydor , part of the major label Universal , was finally accepted in 2008.

In 2010 she toured with Plan B and Hurts , among others , before her debut single Ain't Nobody was released. This means that it just failed to make it into the top 75 of the British charts, but it was received positively by the press. In the forecast Sound of 2011 of the BBC for the newcomers of the following year, it was ranked 5th and it was also highly bet on MTV and Planet Music.

Before the release of their debut album Light After Dark in late February 2011, The Last Dance was released as a pre-single. It came in at number 23.
