Clarisa Navas

Clarisa Navas (* 1989 in Corrientes ) is an Argentine film director and screenwriter . Her film Las Mil y Una opened the Panorama section at the Berlinale in February 2020 .

Life

Clarisa Navas studied art at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires . Her debut film Hoy partido a las 3 was shown at several festivals in Buenos Aires, Biarritz, Lima and Valladolid. She developed several series for Argentine television and was involved in the production of various documentaries. She works as a lecturer at the Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematográfica (ENERC) in Buenos Aires and at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste in Corrientes.

Las Mil y Una is nominated for the 34th Teddy Award , the queer film award of the Berlinale , and is running for the audience award of the Berlinale .

Hoy Partido a las 3 was nominated in the category Best Film at the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema in 2017. Clarisa Navas was also nominated in the Best New Director category at the Valladolid International Film Festival 2017.
