Clark Kimberling

Clark Kimberling (born November 7, 1942 in Hinsdale , Illinois , USA ) is an American mathematician , musician and composer .

In 1970, Kimberling received his Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology. in mathematics, since then he has been Professor of Mathematics at the University of Evansville .

In his research he deals with points in the triangle , sequences of integers and mathematicians biographies , and, as a musician, with hymnology . Since 1994, Kimberling has published the “ Encyclopedia of Triangle Centers ”, an online list he maintains with currently (January 2019) more than 30,000 points in the triangle, each of which is assigned a so-called “Kimberling number”. As a musician and composer, he is particularly dedicated to the recorder instrument .
