Clauss Peter Sajak

Clauß Peter Sajak (born February 23, 1967 in Leverkusen ) is a Roman Catholic theologian and professor of religious education at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

Life

After school and community service, Sajak studied Roman Catholic theology , German language and literature, philosophy and education at the University of Bonn and the University of Freiburg from 1989 to 1995 . He then spent a year at Michigan State University in East Lansing , USA . After his legal clerkship and doctorate, he became a teacher at the Elly Heuss-Knapp Gymnasium in Heilbronn in 1998.

From 2002 to 2008 Sajak worked as a consultant for universities in the Episcopal Ordinariate of the Diocese of Mainz . He completed his habilitation in catechetics and education at the University of Freiburg in 2004 and has been a professor for religious education and didactics of religious education at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Münster since 2008 . His main research interests are questions of the sustainability of religious education, competence orientation in religious education and the didactics of interreligious learning . He is particularly involved in the Christian-Islamic dialogue .
