Claude Davis (born March 6, 1979 in Kingston ) is a Jamaican soccer player who plays for Crystal Palace in the Football League Championship .

career

Davis was loaned from Portmore United to Preston North End in 2003 , before the club presented him with a contract for permanent employment in March 2004. During the 2004/05 season, the central defender was able to earn a regular place in the defense. The following year he played an outstanding season and was voted Player of the Year by both his club's supporters and his teammates. After the end of the season he announced his move to Sheffield United , who had been promoted to the FA Premier League . Sheffield paid £ 2.5 million for Davis. Due to a knee injury, he could not play at the start of the season and only made his first division debut on September 23, 2006 in the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal . At the end of the season he rose with Sheffield as table eighteenth from the Premier League. For the 2007/08 season he moved to Derby County for £ 3 million .

Claude Davis has played for Crystal Palace in the Football League Championship since 2009 .
