Claude Lenners

Claude Lenners (born May 11, 1956 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg composer .

Lenners was a student of Alexander Müllenbach and François-Bernard Mâche and studied at the Conservatories of Luxembourg and Strasbourg as well as musicology at the University of Strasbourg.

Since 1992 he has been teaching music analysis, composition and computer music at the Luxembourg Conservatory. In 1999 he founded the Pyramid Electronic Music Society . In 2000 he was artistic director of the Rainy Days festival for new music .

Lenners was a scholarship holder of the Académie de France in the Villa Medici in Rome from 1989 to 1991 . In 1991 he received first prize at the Prix ​​International Henri Dutilleux , and in 1992 he received the scholarship prize of the Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music. In 1993 he was awarded the Irino Prize for Young Composers.
