In her canton of residence, Aargau , she was initially involved in the reform movement of the Reformed Church. From 2003–2012 she was President of the Church Council of the Reformed Regional Church in Aargau .

Human dignity and justice for all are her central concerns. In this way, she has brought the tradition of palliative care into a current form. She was a driving force behind the renewal process of church law in the canton of Aargau. Together with others she founded the network of presidents of the Reformed Churches in Switzerland (PanKs). As a representative of the regional church in Aargau, she started an interreligious dialogue with other denominations and religions in 2007. The fruits of this work are a Switzerland-wide network of supporting communities and the Aargau Religions Council. The dialogue was specifically combined with preventive action with regard to fanaticism and dangerous prejudices. Preventive action was promoted worldwide through the Mission 21 network.
