Claudia Hirn (born January 6, 1981 in Rum ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Between 2003 and 2008 she was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

education and profession

Claudia Hirn attended elementary and secondary school in Silz between 1987 and 1995 and then graduated from the federal technical school for tourism professions, specializing in tourism, in Zell am Ziller , which she completed in 1997 with the final exam. From 1999 to 2002, Hirn attended the advanced training course at the BHAK Telfs , where she passed her Matura in 2002.

During her training phase, Hirn completed various internships in tourism companies. She also worked in her parents' inn Post. Between 2002 and April 2007 she was the editor of the Austrian farmer's newspaper, and since then she has been working in her parents' inn in Silz.

politics

Claudia Hirn got to know politics through her father, Mayor of Silz, from childhood. She was a student representative and was elected district manager of the young farmers / rural youth in the Imst district. Since 2002 she has been the country manager of the Tyrolean young farmers / rural youth. She is also the local party chairwoman of the Tyrolean People's Party in Silz, district chairwoman of the Forum Land District Imst. From October 21, 2003 she represented the ÖVP as the youngest member of the Tyrolean state parliament. From 2003 she was a member of the Finance Committee, the Immunity and Incompatibility Committee and the Committee on Society, Education, Culture and Sport. From 2006 she was also a member of the Committee on Federalism and European Integration. Hirn was the youth spokesperson for the ÖVP Tirol until 2008; in the course of the state elections in Tirol in 2008 , she failed to return to the state parliament and resigned on July 1, 2008.
