Claudia Liebrand (* 1962 ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

She completed her studies in German, history and philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau with a doctorate in 1989 on Fontane's novels at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg . After her habilitation in 1995 at the University of Freiburg through ETA Hoffmann , she has been teaching since June 1, 1999 as a C4 professor for general literary studies / media theory at the Institute for German Language and Literature at the University of Cologne .

Her main research interests are literature of the 19th century and classical modernism, gender difference and media (especially film) and cultural communication.
