Claudia Tiggemann-Klein

Claudia Tiggemann-Klein (* 1970 in Cologne ) is a German historian and Head of Public Relations at the Historical Archive of the City of Cologne .

Life

Claudia Tiggemann-Klein was born in Cologne and graduated from Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium with the Abitur. After studying chemistry and history as a teacher and studying for a master’s degree in history and education at the University of Cologne from 1989 to 1999, which she completed with a master’s degree and the first state examination, Tiggemann-Klein was a member of the DFG graduate program “Pre-modern concepts of Time and Past ”. In addition to her studies, she worked as a freelancer in the local editorial team of the Kölnische Rundschau . From 2001 to 2005 she worked as a speech advisor for Cologne's Lord Mayor Fritz Schramma .

From mid-2005 she worked for the historical archive of the city of Cologne and took over the management of the Porz branch , which was managed separately as an archive of a formerly independent city, but was also housed in the archive building on Severinstrasse . With this task she also took over the editing of the yearbook “Rechtsrheinisches Köln”, which is published by the history and homeland association Rechtsrheinisches Köln . Since 2007 she has been the head of press and public relations at the Cologne City Archives.

Tiggemann-Klein has been a member of the History Association in Cologne since her studies . She is married to the historian and employee of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament Anselm Tiggemann .
