Claudia Vorst

Claudia Vorst (* 1963 in Paderborn ) is a German educator , Germanist and university teacher .

Life

Vorst studied primary level teaching with the subjects German, art and mathematics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1982 to 1986 . There they began in 1987, a doctoral program to Dr. paed. , which she completed in 1995 with the dissertation Family as a Narrative Cosmos - Phenomenon and Significance of Chronicle . From 1995 to 1997 she passed the second state examination as well as the specialist examination for German. She was then seconded from 1997 to 2003 to the University of Paderborn , where she pursued her habilitation project on text-productive methods in literary classes at the Chair for Germanistic Subject Didactics. She returned to school in 2003 and was involved in the independent school model project. She also continued to teach at the university. In 2006 she completed her habilitation in Paderborn. She received the Venia legendi for "Modern German literary studies with a focus on literary didactics". As a result, in addition to her teaching activities, she was also a private lecturer at the University of Paderborn and deputy headmaster in Arnsberg .

In 2010, Vorst received a call to the professorship for German literature and its didactics at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education . There she was a member of the University Council from 2012 to 2016 . In 2013 she refused a professorship for didactics of German literature with a focus on elementary school at the University of Paderborn, became dean of faculty II at Gmünder PH in 2014 and prorector for studies and teaching in 2016.

Vorst was elected Rector of the PH Schwäbisch Gmünd in February 2018 and took up her post in the 2018 summer semester.
