Claudia de Witt

Claudia de Witt (* 1962 ) is a German educational scientist and professor at the FernUniversität in Hagen.

Life

She completed her studies in educational sciences, sociology and psychology at the University of Dortmund with a diploma thesis on the ability of young people to reflect and judge with regard to the use of computers in leisure time, school and work and its effects as an educational task. After completing her doctorate on the interactivity of multimedia learning programs in Dortmund in 1992, she was a research assistant at the chair for general pedagogy at the Institute for Educational Science and Vocational Education at the University of Dortmund. After her habilitation on “New Media and the Pedagogy of Pragmatism”, Venia: Educational Science with a focus on “Media Pedagogy”, she taught from 2001 to 2004 as a private lecturer at the Institute for Educational Science at the University of Duisburg at the chair of Michael Kerres . Since October 2004 she has been teaching as a professor for educational theory and media education at the FernUniversität in Hagen .
