Claudio Herrera , full name Claudio Herrera Casanova , (born February 11, 1988 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.80 meter tall defensive player Herrera was in the squad of the Italian club Cagliari Calcio in the 2007/08 season . However, he has not played in Serie A. At least since the Apertura 2010 he has played for the Uruguayan first division team River Plate Montevideo . For the Montevideans he played in the 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons in 3, 8, 13 and 16 games of the Primera División . He didn't score a goal. He also played an encounter (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2013 . In the 2014/15 season he was used 28 times (no goal) in the Primera División and three times (no goal) in the 2014 Copa Sudamericana . During the 2015/16 season he played 15 times (no goal) in the league and three times (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Libertadores . During the season he played ten first division games (no goal).
