Daniel Bretscher (born July 15, 1984 in Greencastle ) is an American triathlete and Ironman winner (2014).

Career

Daniel Bretscher has been a professional triathlete since 2007.

In September 2013 he finished second at the Ironman Wisconsin . In 2014 he won the race here and set a new course record. Three weeks after this victory, he finished second in the first Ironman Chattanooga .

In 2015 he started at the Ironman Hawaii for the first time and finished 31st.

He now lives in Mount Vernon with his wife . Bretscher now works as a trainer
