Rosa Otto-Martineck

Rosa Otto-Martineck , née Rosa Martineck (born May 10, 1836 in Magdeburg , † February 27, 1928 in Schwerin ) was a German theater actress .

Life

She began her stage career in the autumn of 1855 in Königsberg, then came to Mannheim and from there after a short time to the Schwerin Court Theater . There the artist worked first as a lover, then as a heroine and heroine mother, and what she promised as a young, talented actress, that she had become as an artist in the best sense of the word.

In recognition of her many years of faithful artistic activity at the Schwerin Court Theater, when she decided to leave the stage, she was made an honorary member of this institute in 1897.

Three sons from her marriage to Wilhelm Otto also devoted themselves to acting, two of whom were Alex and Julius Otto .
