Hans Clauert (* 1506, † 1566 ) is considered the Brandenburg Eulenspiegel and was a citizen of the city. It bears the unofficial title Clauertstadt in his honor . A circular route leads to Clauert's former workplaces, some of which are listed . The city has also had a number of wood and bronze sculptures set up in prominent locations that show Clauert and his work. They come from the wood sculptor Christoph Gramberg , who has been making the pieces on behalf of the city since 2005.

Stations

Trebbin indicates the St. Anne's Chapel as the starting point for the circular route . It is the oldest building in the city and was built in the 15th century as a hospital church. According to tradition, Clauert died of the plague in 1566 in the adjoining hospital that still existed at the time . In his story How Clauert came to an end, he describes how he is said to have played a trick on Herr von Thümen while he was dying . The path then leads over Berliner Straße to the Clauert Stuben . In the building, which is now used as a restaurant, there was already a restaurant in the 16th century that Clauert is said to have frequented. This is where the story of How Clauert was betrayed by a maid was written . A relief on the building reminds of him. To the southeast is Clauert-Platz with a wooden statue of the bon vivant. The story of how Clauert procured a lot of wood for the city of Trebbin and brought the checkerboard into its coat of arms describes Clauert's work in distributing the surrounding forest to the city. The checkerboard is part of the story and can be seen in the city arms. To the northeast of the statue is the Clauert House with a wall hanging . Here a wall painting reminds of the unsteady life of the scoundrel. If you continue along Goethestrasse , the path leads past the building of the Heimatverein. Since it was founded in 2002, it has dealt with the history of the city and with Hans Clauert. At the market there is a fountain with a bronze sculpture by Clauerts. It is supposed to remind of a story by Clauert, with which he often encouraged people from the strike and woke them up , and shows him kneeling with a pan in the water on which two fish are lying. Further to the west in the Ratskeller is a ceiling painting by the artist Alexander Noskoff , who used an edition of the Clauert stories by Kristian Kraus from 1937 as a template for his work . In 1987 , the painter Martin Jamborsky installed a wall painting with a Clauert reference in the town hall itself . If you follow Luckenwalder Straße to the west, you will come to the site of the former Trebbin Castle from the 11th century. This was destroyed in the Thirty Years War . The site is a listed building. If you walk north from the market square you will come to Fischerstraße , which is considered the oldest street in the city. The last station of the circular route, the Clauert steles at the Zwinger, is southwest of the road . Two steles are set up there. One describes scenes from the life of Clauert, the second tells the story of how Clauert brought three students to Berlin .
