Claus Eurich

Claus Eurich (* 1950 ) is a German communication scientist , philosopher and university professor .

Life

Claus Eurich studied communication science, ethnology and political science. In 1976 he received his doctorate for a thesis on political opinion leaders. In 1979 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on communicative participation. From 1976 to 2017 he was professor of communication and ethics at the Institute for Journalism at TU Dortmund University . He played a key role in developing the journalism course at TU Dortmund University.

The main teaching and research areas are ethics, communication theories and media theories, cultural theories, and non-violent communication and peace journalism. He is the author of numerous publications.
