Claus Gnutzmann

Claus Christian Hermann Giselher Gnutzmann (born November 26, 1946 in Böhnhusen ) is an English specialist and didactic specialist . He was professor for the English language and its didactics at the TU Braunschweig .

After studying at the universities of Kiel , Stuttgart , London and New York , Gnutzmann received his doctorate in 1975 in Kiel. phil. PhD and habilitation in 1979 at the University of Hanover . He has been a professor since 1981. From 1991 to 1996 he worked at the University of Paderborn and since 1996 in Braunschweig.

His research focuses on teaching foreign languages ​​in schools and the importance of the English language in today's globalized world. He is now retired.
