action

Frank has money problems. His house is about to be auctioned. He is afraid that his daughter will have to move in with his ex-wife. Therefore, he plans to kidnap the bank manager's family. To do this, he works with two criminals. He also proposes boxer Danny Dempsy to participate in the kidnapping. At first, Danny is not very enthusiastic. He believes someone could be hurt. However, Frank assures him that he would make sure nothing happens to anyone. Danny believes him and agrees to participate in the kidnapping.

A little later, Danny and the two criminals kidnap the daughter and wife of the bank manager. The plan seems to be working well until the girl screams and Danny tries to calm her down. The girl recognizes Danny and the two criminals are afraid that this will also reveal their involvement in the kidnapping. They want to shoot Danny. Danny is shot but escapes injured. Then the criminals take the ransom and free the daughter and mother of the bank manager.

The daughter of the bank manager loves Danny and says nothing about his involvement. Nevertheless, this is suspected by the population to have something to do with the kidnapping. The criminals explain to Frank that they will only give him the money if he brings Danny to them. Frank realizes that the criminals will kill Danny if he turns him over to them. He also learns that Danny is his daughter Corrina's boyfriend. Corrina is angry that her father persuaded Danny to take part in the kidnapping and therefore does not tell him where Danny is. However, the criminals also know about Corrina and Danny's relationship. They want to use Corrina to get to Danny.

Ultimately, it turns out that the kidnapping wasn't Frank's idea, but Desmond Rane, the bank manager. He used the plan to get the money. He kills the criminals and pretends to do this in self-defense. This means that the only people who know of his involvement in the kidnapping are dead. Police find evidence after Frank came up with the plan for the kidnapping. Frank is arrested. Danny leaves town on a ship and Corrina goes back to her mother.

Desmond Rane takes the ransom and gets away with the crime without anyone knowing. Only his daughter knows what really happened and Desmond Rane is sure that she will never tell anything. He uses the money to buy some valuable and unique stamps. His daughter sees him and runs into her room without looking at him or saying anything to him. Desmond Rane looks at his stamps and starts singing.
