The Clearwater Lake (English for "clear water lake") is a lake in the central east of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
Clearwater Lake is located in the Cariboo Mountains at an elevation of 680 meters . It is located in Wells Gray Provincial Park . The lake has a length in north-south direction of 24 km. The maximum width is 2.3 km. It has a water area of 33.3 km². Several glacier-fed rivers flow into the lake. The Clearwater River flows south through the lake. Coming from the west, Barella Creek flows into the lake. Further north are the two lakes Azure Lake and Hobson Lake . From Clearwater Lake, Azure Lake can be reached by motorboat. There are simple campsites on the lake shore. Below Clearwater Lake is the Osprey Falls . To the south end of the lake leads from Clearwater a road that is paved for a length of 43 km and gravel for the remaining 28 km.
Fish fauna
Rainbow trout are found in the lake .
