Clemens large Macke (* 19th July 1959 in Addrup , municipality of Essen / Oldenburg , Cloppenburg District ) is a German local politician and former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After obtaining his secondary school leaving certificate in 1975, he attended a commercial college and then did an apprenticeship as a farmer and businessman. He has been an agricultural master since 1983. In 1986 he took over his parents' business in the municipality of Essen / Oldenburg and has been working as a farmer and freelance management consultant ever since .

In his youth, Große Macke was active in the Oldenburg regional association of the Catholic rural youth movement.

Große Macke is married and has three children.

politics

Clemens Große Macke has been a member of the CDU since 1995 . From 2002 to 2016 he was chairman of the CDU community association in Essen.

In 2001, Große Macke became a member of the Essen municipal council. 2016 ran for the office of mayor of Essen, but was defeated by the non-party competitor Heiner Kreßmann.

In the Lower Saxony state elections in 2003 , 2008 and 2013 , he was elected to the state parliament with the best result in the state for the constituency of Cloppenburg . From mid-2012 to March 2013 he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and its spokesman for food and agriculture. To state election in 2017 large Macke did not occur again.
