Clemensnäs IF

Clemensnäs IF is a Swedish sports club from Klemensnäs founded in 1925 .

history

The association was founded on February 16, 1925. The ice hockey department made its first national appearance when it reached the quarter-finals of the Swedish championship , which was still held in cup mode at the time, in the 1948 season. In this the team was defeated by the later title holder IK Göta with 3: 6. In the seasons 1963/64 , 1966/67 and 1969/70 , the team took part in Division 1 , the highest Swedish division at the time, but was relegated to the second division 2 every time . In 1972, the ice hockey department of the Clemensnäs IF merged with the Rönnskärs IF to form the CRIF club, which later became the Clemensnäs HC .

The football department played in the Swedish third division for several years.
