Cliff Wichmann (born July 9, 1971 in Dresden ) is a German chess player .
In the Bundesliga , the highest German league, he had his first assignment in the 1996/97 season for the Dresdner SC . He moved to ESV Nickelhütte Aue , with whom he played again in the 1st Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season .
Since June 2011 he has held the title of International Master . He achieved the standards for this in the 2nd Bundesliga East in the 2005/06 season, at the 2009 German individual championship in Saarbrücken , where he finished 15th, and the 1st Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season.
