The Clinker Bluff is an isolated rock cliff in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the middle of the Skelton Glacier west of Mount Tricouni .
It was measured and named in 1957 by the New Zealand crew of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958). It is named after its shape, which is reminiscent of a so-called clinker , a right-angled nail in mountain boots .
