Clivia Vorrath , b. Hennig (born October 29, 1947 in Essen-Bredeney ; † April 1, 1989 in Hamburg ) was a German painter, art teacher and co-founder of the Hamburg producers' gallery . Clivia Vorrath lived and worked in Hamburg.

Life

Since her marriage to Jürgen Vorrath in 1974, Clivia Vorrath has been called differently as Clivia Vorrath and Clivia Vorrath-Hennig.

From 1967 to 1972 Clivia Vorrath completed her studies of art education at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg with Kai Sudeck and Gotthard Graubner . Since 1973, Clivia Vorrath has been involved in the initiative to found a producer gallery in Hamburg together with Jürgen Vorrath, Harald Rüggeberg, Verena Rüggeberg, Rainer Noeres, Peter Sander, Ulrich Mumm, Beate Polendt and Gustav Kluge . 1974 to 1976 she worked as an art teacher at the Hartzloh grammar school. From 1980 she was a permanent member of the Grasweg producers 'gallery, which is now called the Hamburg producers' gallery.

Clivia Vorrath had been struggling with a serious illness since 1979. In 1982 she suffered cardiac arrest and fell into a coma . On April 1, 1989, Clivia Vorrath died in the Eichenhof house in the Alsterdorfer Anstalten .
