Club Universidad Autónoma de Hidalgo is the name of the football team of the Universidad Autónoma de Hidalgo , also known for short as UA de Hidalgo or UAH , based in Pachuca , the capital of the Mexican state of Hidalgo . The home venue is the Estadio Hidalguense .

history

The university team has been represented in the third division Segunda División since the 2005/06 season , where it was assigned to the Zona Centro for the first three years and has been represented in the Liga de Nuevos Talentos since the league reform at the beginning of the 2008/09 season .

The team's successes only came after the league reform and in the first tournament of the 2008/09 season they won the championship with a final victory (1st place in the 2008/09 season) - in their very first participation in the play-off championship finals in the Apertura 2008 : 2 and 2: 0) against city rivals Alto Rendimiento Tuzo .
