The Prinzensicht im Harz is a lookout point in the Bodetal near Thale in the Harz district , Saxony-Anhalt .

Geographical location

The prince's view is in the Lower Harz in the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park . It is located about 3 km southwest of Thale and 800 m (as the crow flies ) northwest of La Viershöhe above the Bodetal . From at 418  m above sea level. NN (according to other information 436  m above sea level ) located in the forest, the landscape slopes north to the Bode , which is there at around 225  m altitude.

The Prinzensicht can be reached, for example, from the aforementioned La Viershöhe , which is located west of the state road  240 leading from Thale to Friedrichsbrunn , or on hiking trails from the Bodetal. It is included as No. 70 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking pin; the stamp box ( ) is on the path leading to the viewpoint - about 150 m southeast of the prince's sight . A little to the west of this is the Bodetalblick . From the lookout point, the view falls into the Bode valley and, among other things, to the Bibrakreuz on its northern edge .
